Protests against French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen are on the rise. Video footage of an incident on Monday shows a young protester from the Femen organization rushing towards the far right wing leader with a bunch of flowers
The presidential candidate was accosted while on stage during a rally at Paris' Zenith Arena. The Femen protester jumped on the stage and attacked Le Pen by throwing the flowers at her.
Le Pen's four bodyguards immediately tackled the protestor and roughly dragged her off the stage. Following the incident Le Pen described the Femen protestor as a left wing extremist.
After her speech, Le Pen was met with further protest outside of the meeting hall, as hundreds of protesters chanted slogans against her.
