A forest fire erupted near Menderes district in Turkey's third largest city Izmir on Saturday.During intense rescue operations to extinguish the blaze, a fire fighting helicopter crashed near Tahtali water reservoir and one crew member was slightly injured.According to Ismail Uzmez, head of the general directorate of forestry the fire has burned 500 hectares of forest land and scrubs so far.
