Before leaving New York for Turkey, President Erdoğan spoke to journalists about the details of his meeting with President Trump. The Turkish President said that Trump could not justify US's decision to provide weapons to YPG terrorist organization. He also highlighted that Trump did not feel the S-400 matter was important enough to be brought under discussion during the meeting.
