Erdoğan, Putin agree to hold next summit on Syria in Istanbul

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Russian counterpart Vadimir Putin held a phone call.

In the phone conversation, the two leaders discussed a number of issues, including Operation Olive Branch and Idlib.

Erdoğan and Putin also agreed for the establishment of and speeding up of the process for new observation posts near the de-escalation zones and exchanged views on the Astana process.

The leaders Putin and Erdoğan discussed military coordination in Syria and agreed the next Sochi summit on Syria will be held in Istanbul.
