Salt Lake misses a chance of moving up in the standings

Real Salt Lake were held to just one point by 10-man Houston Dynamo, after suffering a 0-0 draw for their third straight tie.

Houston, who were sent down to 10 men in the 65th minute, took nine shots and forced nick rimando to make the lone save of the match. Rimando collected the 98th career clean sheet with real, who extended their unbeaten streak to five matches.

Dynamo defender Alex was handed two yellow cards a minute apart by referee Robert Sibiga but Salt Lake couldn't capitalize on the man advantage and the game ended with a 0-0 draw, where Salt Lake missed a chance of moving up in the standings, away from the danger zone.
