After mutual attacks between Israel and Iranian forces based in Syria on Thursday, UN Secretary-General Aantonio Guterres called for a halt to hostilities. The call came hours after Israel said it struck dozens of Iranian targets in Syria overnight.
Guterres also called on the Security Council to honor its responsibility under the charter.
