More sick and injured civilians have been evacuated from Douma town in eastern Ghouta, concurrently with shelling of other parts of the opposition-held area.
The Syrian observatory for human rights reported that 175 civilians were killed and injured in the airstrikes that wreaked havoc of the area in the recent 24 hours, raising the toll of civilian casualties to more than 1200 in 24 days of the onslaught.
