Black Friday, the day after thanksgiving in the U.S., kicks off the busiest shopping period of the year in America, marking a critical period for retailers who are fighting harder than ever to compete for customer sales.
The national retail federation estimates 164 million Americans - roughly 70 percent of the U.S. population - will go shopping this weekend - many of them hunting for good bargains.
