Intifada an uprising against Israeli occupation of Palestine. Thirty years ago, the first Palestinian uprising, known as the Intifada, began in Gaza. An uprising which lasted from December 1987 until the Madrid Conference in 1991, though some date its conclusion to 1993, with the signing of the Oslo accords.
