Turkey's central bank cuts interest rates by 50 basis points to 10.75%

The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey cut its one-week repo rate by 50 basis points on Wednesday.

The bank's monetary policy committee decided to reduce the policy rate from 11.25 percent to 10.75 percent.

Several economists had forecasted a change between 25 and 75 basis points.
