Two Turkish soldiers were martyred and three others injured in two bomb attacks by PKK terrorists in the southeastern province of Şırnak, security sources said on Tuesday.

The sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media, said PKK terrorists detonated roadside bombs targeting Turkish troops conducting search operations along a road in the Mt. Gabar region.

One soldier was martyred and two others were injured in the attack.

In operations following the first attack, the terror group detonated another roadside IED, martyring one soldier and leaving another injured.

The injured soldiers were dispatched to Şırnak Public Hospital for treatment.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey as well as the U.S. and EU.

In its terror campaign against Turkey, which has lasted for more than three decades, over 40,000 people have been killed, including women and children.
