Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, who left for his two-day visit in Bosnia and Herzegovina's capital Sarajevo Thursday morning, praised longstanding relations in Balkans.

During a press conference ahead of official visit, Premier Yıldırım lashed out at PKK's Syrian off-shoot YPG for forming a new party to obscure its illegal activities in the war-torn region.

Yıldırım is expected to meet the chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic and the members of the Bosnian tripartite Presidency.

He will also meet academics and students at International University of Sarajevo.

Yıldırım is traveling with a delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister Recep Akdağ, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekçi, Transportation, Maritime and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan.

Yıldırım said economic issues and mutual investments will be discussed in various meetings.

Ahead of leaving for Sarajevo, Yıldırım said at Esenboğa Airport in Ankara: "We as Turkey, show all our best efforts for stability and peace in Balkans. We maintain necessary bilateral or multilateral contacts with all regional countries."
