Turkish wrestler Atlı bags silver medal in World Wrestling Championships

Turkish athlete Süleyman Atlı on Friday claimed silver medal in the World Wrestling Championships, as Russian Zaur Uguev beat him 13-3 in Kazakhstan's capital Nur-Sultan.

Following today's results, the Turkish wrestler also qualified to compete in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

The World Wrestling Championships will run through Sept. 22.

In a statement, Turkey's Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu congratulated the athlete on winning the silver medal.
