Turkish athlete bagged a gold medal Tuesday in the first leg of an international para athletics championship held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Esra Bayrak won gold in the women's (T20 category) long jump with a distance of 5.41 meters (27.7 feet).
Turkey has won three gold and three silver medals in the event, which will end Wednesday.
A total of 430 athletes from 50 countries are competing in the 11th Fazza International Athletics Championships, which is part of the World Para Athletics Grand Prix held since 2009.
