The 2018 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final will be held in Black Sea province of Samsun on Sept. 29-30. The tournament will see the world's Top 32 archers vie in a number of different categories. Turkey's Demir Elmaağaçlı, Fatih Bozlar and Mete Gazoz will compete in the men's events while Yasemin Ecem Anagöz, Yeşim Bostan and Gizem Elmaağaçlı will compete in the women's categories.

"I believe Turkish archers will be successful. We expect gold medals," Turkish Archery Federation President Abdullah Topaloğlu told Anadolu Agency (AA). This is the second time Turkey is hosting the season-ending event. Istanbul hosted the final in 2011.

Meanwhile, Mete Gazoz looks to end the season with another gold medal. Ahead of the competition, the record-breaking 19-year-old said: "The World Cup Final in Samsun is the last competition of the season. I want to end the year with a gold medal."

"I won gold medals at the World Cup, European Championships and the Mediterranean Games. For me, this year was better than last year," Gazoz told Anadolu Agency (AA).

He expressed hopes that the Turkish archery team in the mixed category would be strong enough to bag gold in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Gazoz had represented Turkey at the 2016 Rio Olympics. In August, he scored a record-breaking 686 points to lead the recurve men's qualification at the 2018 European Archery Championships in Legnica, Poland.

Gazoz and his teammate Gülnaz Büşranur Coşkun scored 1,333 points in the Recurve Junior category to set a new world record in the mixed team event at the European Grand Prix in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Turkey's top archers, including Demir Elmaağaçlı, Fatih Bozlar and Mete Gazoz will participate in the men's categories, while Yasemin Ecem Anagöz, Yeşim Bostan and Gizem Elmaağaçlı will take part in the women's categories at the World Cup Final in Samsun.
