Medipol Başakşehir tied with Gençlerbirliği 1-1 on Monday evening at Istanbul's Fatih Terim Stadium in the closing match of the Turkish Super Lig's 23rd match week.
Başakşehir's Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor scored in the 28th minute to get the advantage for his team, but Abdul Khalili equalized the match at 1-1 in the 50th minute of the second half.
The draw meant Başakşehir was unable to finish the week on top. Galatasaray are now the leaders with 47 points.
Başakşehir, in second place, also raised their points total to 47.
