Schalke on Monday would not confirm reports saying that their Germany midfielder Leon Goretzka is leaving in summer for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
Germany's Sport Bild and Spain's Marca reported that the 22-year-old Goretzka would join Munich on a free transfer, amid alleged interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona in the Confederations Cup winner.
But Schalke general manager Christian Heidel told broadcasters Sport1 that "Leon has so far not informed us that he has decided on a move."
Goretzka's advisor Joertg Neubauer said: "Once the decision has been made Leon and I will first inform Schalke."
