Champions League wraps up group stage

Wednesday's action in the Champions League completed the group stage, as Spain's Sevilla, England's Liverpool, Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk and Portugal's Porto became the last four teams to book their ticket to Round 16.

In Group E, Liverpool dominated Russian opponents Spartak Moscow with a score of 7-0 to win the group.

Brazilian winger Philippe Coutinho made his first hat-trick, Sadio Mane added two, Roberto Firmino and Mohammed Salah also netted one each in the victory.

Sevilla drew with Slovenia's Maribor 1-1 to secure second place, meaning Spartak Moscow will continue in the Europa League. Maribor was eliminated.

In Group F, Shakhtar Donetsk defeated Manchester City 2-1 to finish the group second after the English club. Italy's Napoli were defeated by Feyenoord 2-1 to continue their European journey in the Europa League.

Feyenoord was eliminated.

In Group G, Besiktas' win against Germany's RB Leipzig made them the first Turkish team to finish the group stage undefeated. Leipzig will continue in the Europa League.

Porto smashed already-eliminated Monaco with a 5-2 score to book their ticket to the next round.

In Group H, Tottenham and Real Madrid were already through; Dortmund will continue with the Europa League despite a 3-2 defeat against Madrid.

APOEL were beaten 3-0 by Tottenham and were eliminated from European competitions.
