Sevilla confirmed the signing of French international Sebastien Corchia from Lille, after the right-back passed a medical on Thursday.

The 26-year-old signed for a fee of around five million euros ($5.7 million) on a four-year deal.

Corchia, who won his first and only international cap to date in a friendly against the Ivory Coast last November, will join up with his new team-mates in Japan on Thursday for pre-season.

He is the fourth close-season signing made by Sevilla coach Eduardo Berizzo since he took over from Jorge Sampaoli in May, following Colombian forward Luis Muriel and Argentinian midfielders Ever Banega and Guido Pizarro.

Sampaoli, who left for the Argentina national side, led Sevilla to a fourth-placed finish in La Liga and Champions League qualification last season.
