AC Milan lost 2-1 with 10 men at Cagliari Sunday, closing the Serie A season in sixth place to secure a Europa League berth.

Cagliari's Artur Ionita struck the bar before his team-mate Joao Pedro scored from inside the box in the 17th minute. Milan levelled from Gianluca Lapadula's penalty on 72 after Carlos Bacca missed earlier from the spot.

The Devils had Gabriel Paletta dismissed with a second booking on 75 and Fabio Pisacane tapped in the winner in stoppage-time.

Fourth-place Atalanta beat Chievo Saturday as Juventus won 2-1 at Bologna with a record sixth straight title already secured.
