Israeli jets fire on Palestinian demonstrators at Gaza border

The Israeli Air Force reportedly opened fire on Palestinian demonstrators near the Gaza border on Sunday, according to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

"The Israeli Air Force fired towards" the protestors, IDF wrote on its official Twitter account.

It did not elaborate whether the aggression resulted in casualties.

Meanwhile, Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that one Palestinian had been killed and 14 others wounded by Israeli fire near the Gaza border on Sunday, citing the Gaza Health Ministry.

Haaretz said the Omar Daud Ashtiwi, 21, was killed when he was shot in the head by live fire.

It added that clashes began Sunday evening.
