The regime forces in Syria conducted airstrikes in opposition-held Idlib, killing one child and injured seven others on Wednesday, the Syrian Civil Defense said.
Anees Diab, spokesman for the Syrian Civil Defense -- known as the White Helmets -- in Khan Shaykhun, said that the warplanes of the Bashar al-Assad regime forces targeted residential area in Idlib.
Idlib, which remains under opposition control, in May 2017 was designated a "de-escalation zone" in which acts of aggression are expressly forbidden.
Nevertheless, the Assad regime and Russian forces have continued to carry out attacks on the region.
