Saudi king, US lawmaker meet to discuss bilateral ties

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz on Wednesday met with Paul Ryan, speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, with whom he discussed bilateral cooperation, according to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Talks were held at Riyadh's Yamamah royal palace, the news agency reported.

Talks were also attended by Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Saud; Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; and Saudi Consultative Council Chairman Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al ash-Sheikh.

Ryan, along with a number of other U.S. lawmakers, is currently on an official visit to the oil-rich Arab Gulf kingdom.
