This year Teknofest Istanbul, Turkey's largest aerospace and technology festival, is set to honor tech-minded young people in its exciting competitions, but hopefuls should apply now.

In its second edition this year, the festival will give away over 2 million Turkish liras ($376,000) in prize money for young technology talents.

Winning teams will be awarded in a number of categories such as artificial intelligence, robotics, rocket science, unmanned aerial and underwater systems, turbofan engines, and model satellite design.

Domestic and international applications are being accepted at www.teknofestistanbul.org through the end of February.

In addition to the prize money, teams will be supported with technical consultancy and supplies.

The event is supported by Turkey's Industry and Technology Ministry, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, leading technology companies, public institutions, and universities.

The four-day Teknofest Istanbul, of which Anadolu Agency is the global communication partner, organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3), is set to take place on Sept. 17-22 at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport.

Last year's premier edition of the festival was attended by over half a million people.

Last year's festival hosted drone racers, white hat hackers, and technology entrepreneurs from all over the globe.
