Istanbul Development Agency has won the National Winner award at this year's European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA), the agency announced Friday.
In a statement, the agency said that they were awarded for the Supporting Entrepreneurship, Skills and Future of Children and Youth Program.
The award in the Promoting the Entrepreneurial Spirit category was given Thursday evening at a ceremony in the Estonian capital, Tallinn, it added.
Around 11,500 young people benefited from theoretical and vocational training as well career guidance as part of the program. A total of 727 trainers were also trained as part of the project, which had a budget of 13 million TL ($3.3 million).
A total of 56 projects were selected by their countries to compete at European level in the 11th edition of the annual event, according to the EEPA.
