ZORLU ENERGY TO BUILD SOLAR POWER PLANTS IN PALESTINE

Turkey's Zorlu Energy signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Palestine's electricity distribution company JDECO for the construction and operation of solar power plants to provide electricity to Palestine, the company announced on Wednesday.

Zorlu reminded that JDECO provides a quarter of Palestine's electricity.

The company also said that it continues to deepen and diversify its investments in solar energy systems.

"With this investment we planned to do in Palestine, we have taken another important step towards our goal of leading the development of solar energy in our region," said Sinan Ak, general manager of Zorlu Energy.
