51 people charged for involvement in G20 riots in German city of Hamburg

Charges against the 51 people who remain in custody after involvement in violent protests against the Group of 20 summit include disturbing the peace, grievous bodily harm, damage to property and resisting police officers, prosecutors said.

A 27-year-old German national has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly blinding a pilot operating a police helicopter with the intention of downing the vehicle, Hamburg prosecutors said.
