The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK)-affiliated Democratic Union Party (PYD) is advancing toward Deir ez-Zor, Syria, with the support of the U.S. The city of al-Tabqah, which is linked to the Daesh stronghold Raqqa, has been left to the terrorist organization.

Syria's second largest oil reserve, the PYD and the U.S. have joined forces to take over the region from Daesh. The region produces 50,000 barrels of petrol daily, resulting in an annual profit of 2 million dollars.

While clashes in the field continue, the PYD-U.S. coalition is looking for alliances with the largest tribes of the region. PYD representatives continue negotiations with Baggara and Ageydat tribal leaders following clashes with Daesh.

Local sources report that U.S. and British representatives suggested a petrol solution to tribal leaders that crude oil processing and its export from Deir ez-Zor be done without involving Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

ATTEMPT TO JOIN FORCES WİTH TRIBES
The PYD-U.S. coalition's alliance with Shammar, one of the biggest tribes in al-Hasakah, Syria, within the scope of the Raqqa Operation continues.

The Nuhba militia of the Shammar Tribe continued to cooperate with the terrorist organization after the al-Hasakah operation in the al-Tabqah and Raqqa operations.

Approximately 85 percent of Deir ez-Zor has been controlled by Daesh since 2014. The Assad regime and its allies such as the Iran-backed groups are active only in the Cura, Harabis and Kusr regions.

Deir ez-Zor, which is divided into two by the Euphrates River, is home to approximately 280,000 civilians.

THE MOST IMPORTANT PETROL RESERVE IS IN MAYADIN
Abdullah Rezzak, the Energy Minister of the Syrian Provisional Government, assessed the PYD's goal in the region while speaking to Yeni Şafak.

Rezzak said the U.S. and Britain were consciously guiding the PYD terrorist organization.

"The research conducted in Deir ez-Zor shows that the city's petrol and natural gas is above the sea. There are very clear statistics on the issue and because Westerners don't want to miss this opportunity they are using the PYD for exploitation," said the energy minister.
