Forty terrorists were neutralized in operations in Turkey over the last week, including 18 who were killed, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.
According to a ministry statement, in counter-terrorism operations across Turkey in the last week, 22 terrorists surrendered, in addition to those who were killed.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S., and EU -- resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015. Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of around 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians.
